Wish to taste and maybe, buy real, unadulterated honey from the real deep jungles? Can you differentiate between a piece of jaggery manufactured using chemicals  and a piece of organic jaggery without any health hazards?  Have you ever used a bamboo toothbrush? Or intricately carved bamboo artifacts like, say, wearable ornaments? How about placing bamboo stands on your desk to safely hold your smartphones, smart watches or other gadgets?  Lamps, Rakhis, bands, wall hangings and other fancy items made of coconut shells & bamboo, beautiful cardboards & dish plates made entirely from cow dung.. or watching artisans actually at work.. ‘Gramayan Seva Pradarshani’  in its own unique way, sort of transports every visitor to just another world!

Its here that you get to realize what all have you been missing so far! Like, how pure and strong a tiny piece of Organic Asafetida can be, that it’s smell may cross a few stalls, if a small box is slightly opened. Similar to the smell and taste of a wood pressed organic Mustard oil that, though little high priced, stays with you long after you have left the exhibition.
The list of products is almost endless. Whether you wish to buy or not is not at all important. The best part is everyone at the stalls is equally excited and interested in enhancing your knowledge at Gramayan. Like teachers with practical knowledge to share.
Gramayan Seva Pradarshani exuberates a feeling as if you’re at an open university and there’s so much to learn and experience.

Actively promoting degradable items that support nature and us, rather than only plain hollow words, this is one exhibition that stands apart with a huge difference.

The stalls showcase a range of unique products most of which a common urbane visitor may have never heard of.

The people at these stalls come out not as usual aggressive sellers keen to earn profits but as friendly people who are more keen to attend to your curiosity  and share knowledge that bears potential to change your outlook.

For an unsuspecting random visitor, Gramayan exhibition is a pleasantly shocking discovery. To those who know, it’s an annual platform not only for the local manufacturers &  innovative entrepreneurs but also for the key issues plaguing our daily lives and the routine lifestyles. It has been successfully drawing crowds from various parts of Vidarbha every year. This time it was held between 22nd to 26 December at Nagpur ‘s Ram Nagar grounds.

Visitors were treated to a range of stalls that addressed topics like climate change, sustainable living, environment and health, not superficially mentioned for the sake of appearing trendy but keenly addressed as well! Here’re a few glimpses. How would you differentiate between a handmade organic earthenware and a die cast earthenware that were readied in a matter of minutes using hazardous chemicals? One of the stall owners tells you that if the inside surface is rough, chances are it is painstakingly handmade.

An environment friendly solar lamp worth rupees 300 can not only add to the interior or exterior decoration value but also can save you thousands on electricity cost. Several other solar items
