According to the Police Control room, the Air India Flight AI 171 was bound for London. “On 12th Jun, 2025, M/s Air India B787 Aircraft VT-ANB, while operating flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to Gatwick, has crashed immediately after takeoff from Ahmedabad.

The flight was carrying 232 passengers (including 2 infants) and 12 crew members, totalling 242 people. Captain Sumit Sabharwal and co-pilot Clive Kunder were in charge. Emergency services rushed to the scene, with smoke seen from far a vigilant user tweeted on X.
