Blasphemy Trap: Global Hindus Must Awaken Against Radicalism. The tragic and brutal murder of Amrit Mandal, a 29-year-old Hindu man in Rajbari’s Pangsha area, has once again exposed the terrifying reality of life for minorities in Bangladesh. This horrific act follows the recent, chilling lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh, where a mob acted as judge, jury, and executioner. Mandal was reportedly targeted after being accused of claiming that “all religions are the same”—a statement twisted into “blasphemy” by radical Islamists to justify his public execution.

Since the political transition in August 2024, Bangladesh has witnessed a catastrophic surge in targeted violence against Hindus. Radical elements have weaponized unverified rumors and “blasphemy” allegations to incite bloodthirsty mobs. In Mandal’s case, like many before him, there was no legal inquiry or trial. Instead, the streets of Pangsha became a killing field where a young man’s life was snuffed out for advocating religious harmony.

A Pattern of Targeted Genocide
The statistics are harrowing. Reports from human rights groups indicate thousands of incidents of violence against Hindus over the past year, including temple desecrations, arson, and public lynchings. The pattern is clear: Hindu lives are being used as pawns in a radicalized political landscape where law enforcement remains a silent spectator or, worse, a facilitator of mob justice.
The Need for a Global Hindu Awakening
The repetitive nature of these “terror strikes” on civilians signals a desperate need for a collective awakening. Hindus globally must move beyond mere condemnation and demand concrete international intervention. The systematic erasure of the Hindu minority in Bangladesh is not just a local crisis but a human rights disaster that the world can no longer ignore.
Self-preservation and unity are the only shields against such relentless radicalism. It is high time for the global community and the interim government in Dhaka to be held accountable for the safety of every citizen, regardless of their faith.
