Make In India is a well respected & adored initiative. The social media users, especially the Twitter users won’t take things at face value. The smiling and cool dude Shark from ‘Shark Tank’ recently underwent a similar experience on Republic Day 2023.

On January 26th, 2023, he tweeted a self explanatory three part thread. It goes like this..
“Many people questioned whether we could really Make in India.
It wasn’t easy. Obstacles lined the road.
But we were unwavering in our commitment. We took a pledge to try our best to make in India.
Today, with #HumBheeBanaLenge spirit, we take great pride in being the first Indian brand to manufacture over 1 crore wearables products in one year.
It is a great honour for us to be able to give back in whatever small way we can to our wonderful nation.
The Indian growth story is phenomenal, and we want to contribute to it.
Thank you boAtheads !
Jai Hind !
Born in India.
Made In India.
Rock’ in India.”
THE REPLIES TO THE MAKE IN INDIA TWEET
The replies by twitter users were quick and plenty. And they were quick to point out to the China and Vietnam angle to the story.
One twitter user posted, – Sir but majority of your manufacturing is done in China & Vietnam. Do correct me if I am wrong.
Another suggested, – Bhai aapke Chinesewale product bakwas hai totally. Make in India wale theme par hi focus karo.
Some of the other comments to the tweet, related to Make in India, are reposted here :
‘It’s still assembled in India but I hope with getting so much capital when Foxconn and Tata chips are created indigenously then you will not be greedy and will shift chip purchase from India not from china. So prepare infrastructure for that.’
Another one:
‘Aman bhai, in India, try our best means politely saying not possible. Please say we will make it in India.’
Yet another one:
‘U manufacture almost all of em in China though. Doesn’t fit in the “@makeinindia ” segment now, does it?’
This one is also interesting:
‘Congratulations, but did you manufactured from scratch or assembled in India?’
Here is an advice:
‘Company like boat should do 100% manufacturing in India.’
All in all, the mood of the twitter users was summed in the last tweet above.
However, there were also some tweets congratulating Aman and also pushing business hints.
Indiainput.com only hopes that not just the sharks but every one in the industry sector pays a heed to the growing chorus for ‘Make in India’.
That would be the best way to celebrate India’s Republic Day.
