Demon Slayer’s Strikes  India Premiere @ 5 AM reflected total Anime Madness. The wait was finally over for Indian anime fans—Demon Slayer  arrived in theatres, and it is making a thunderous entry with an unusual twist. “5 AM premiere show”. While most films open at conventional hours, the makers and distributors chose to honor the global wave of anticipation by giving fans in India the chance to witness the action as early as dawn.

As the sun rose, thousands of Indian fans were already immersed in sword fights, breathtaking animation, and emotional storytelling—proving that for Demon Slayer, time doesn’t matter. Whether at midnight in Tokyo or dawn in Delhi, the flame of passion burns just as brightly. Infinity Castle is the 6th part of this anime saga.

The unusual release timing  only amplified the hype. From Mumbai, Nagpur,  Delhi to Bengaluru, theatres reported that early morning shows were selling out within hours of bookings going live. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is a Japanese series  created by Koyoharu Gotouge. The franchise , which gained massive worldwide popularity, is celebrated for its stunning animation, action sequences, and emotional storytelling. It ran in Weekly Shōnen  and Jumped from 2016 to 2020, spanning 23 volumes.

Set in Taishō-era Japan, it follows Tanjiro Kamado,  a kind- hearted teenage  boy who becomes a Demon Slayer after his family is slaughtered and his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. Tanjiro grows stronger, forms bonds with other demon slayers, and battles powerful demons, including the main antagonist, the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji.

Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization dedicated to hunting down demons, in his quest to find a cure to turn Nezuko back into a human and avenge his family. Initially modest in popularity, the series exploded after Ufotable’s 2019 anime adaptation, with Episode 19 going viral. By its conclusion, the manga had sold over 150 million copies 

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (2020): A direct sequel to the first season, this film became the highest-grossing Japanese anime film of all time,cementing Demon Slayer as a global phenomenon

Infinity Castle Trilogy (2025–): The final arcs of the manga are being adapted into a trilogy of films.

The first installment, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns, premiered in July 2025 in Japan.

Critics note that this move also reflects the changing dynamics of cinema distribution in India. Hollywood blockbusters and anime releases are no longer treated as secondary events; they’re positioned as cultural phenomena capable of commanding prime buzz and box-office numbers.
