#NaxalFreeIndia ..Red terror free India!! #Operation Black Forest was carried out ,an encounter broke out between security forces and Naxals in the forest area of Abujhmad in Chhattisgarh’s at Narayanpur district where as many as 40 Naxals were killed in an encounter with District Reserve Guard (DRG) on 21May 2025.

“Modi government has resolved to eliminate Naxalism before 31 March 2026” stated Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
After completion of the Operation Black Forest, 54 Naxalites have been arrested and 84 have surrendered in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Maharashtra.
Top Maoist with bounty of 1crore was killed in encounter.
District Reserve Guards personnel from 4 districts Abhujmad Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada districts launched an operation in the area based on intelligence inputs about the presence of senior cadres from the Mao Mad division.
Operation started on Wednesday in Abhujmad forest area and the top Naxal leader Basavraj was killed in the encounter. NIA and various state governments including Chhattisgarh declared a bounty of ₹ 1 crore for his head . The top Naxal leader was part of the naxalite movement since the 1970s and was being hunted by security agencies across the country, was neutralised by the forces. Basavraj was also the general secretary of the banned Communist party of India.
Basavraj, aged around 68 years, was CPI(Maoist) general secretary and member of its Politburo, Central committee and the Central Military Commission. He hailed from Jiyannapeta in Srikakulam district of Telangana and had done engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Warangal. Known by several aliases — Ganganna, Gaganna, Prakash, Krishna, Vijay, Basavaraju, BR, Umesh, Raju, Darapu and Narasimha — Keshava Rao had taken over the reins of CPI(Maoist) from Ganapathy in 2017-18. Basavaraju was a potent combination of a technical brain and an extremely violent disposition.
