The video surfaced just days after back-to-back suicide bombings in Islamabad and New Delhi, both reportedly linked to Pakistan-backed extremists. Officials believe the message reflects India’s evolving strategy to highlight its readiness for pre-emptive and decisive counter-terrorist actions, including precision operations beyond the border if necessary.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, while addressing soldiers at a forward post on the northern frontier, reinforced this message with a stern warning to Pakistan. “Our patience must not be mistaken for weakness,” he said.

“The Indian Army is fully prepared to respond to any provocation with the strength of steel and the element of surprise. Any attempt to export terror across our borders will be met with a response so swift and decisive that its echo will be heard far beyond the Line of Control.” Added the Army Chief.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi also issued a stern warning to Pakistan during the Chanakya Defence Dialogue in November 2025. He described “Operation Sindoor,” India’s recent counter-terror strike, as “just a trailer,” indicating that India is prepared for more extensive military responses if provoked.

Dwivedi emphasized India’s readiness for long-duration, multi-domain battles and asserted that any further attempts by Pakistan to sponsor terrorism will be met with decisive and overwhelming force. He warned Pakistan to “behave responsibly” with its neighbor or face consequences that could threaten its very existence on the map.

This warning reflects India’s intensified stance on cross-border terrorism and its commitment to safeguarding national security in a volatile regional landscape.
