MODI GOVT'S 'NEP' TO USHER BETTER DAYS FOR SANSKRIT, SAYS TEJASVI SURYA, MP.

“Sanskrit (or Samskrita) is poised for a giant leap ahead. The new National Education Policy fosters Sanskrit, it’s time to youths to initiate. Even career-wise, it is better to know Sanskrit,” opined Tejasvi Surya, MP. He inaugurated the three day Chhatra Sammelan by Sanskrit Bharati that began in Nagpur, on January 27th 2023.

“Sanskrit (Samskrita) is the scientific language in which you write what you say and vice versa. If you know Sanskrit, you know India. It is the key to a lot many things in India. Right from the ancient wisdom and knowledge treasure, it is also the computer friendly modern language of this era. The new National Education Policy (NEP) fosters Sanskrit and it’s conservation. Let youths give optimum contribution towards its growth”, thus observed Loksabha member from Bengaluru Tejasvi Surya. He is also the all India president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva morcha (BJYM).
He was speaking while inaugurating the Chhatra Sammelan, the three day All India students’ conclave organized by Samskrita Bharati at Smriti Mandir premises in Reshimbagh, Nagpur. Founder of Gita Parivar and treasurer of Ramajanmabhoomi Nyasa, Pujyaniya Govind Giri Maharaj was the chief guest while the former Chief Justice of Supreme court Justice Sharad Bobde presided.

In his speech, Tejasvi Surya further observed that Sanskrit was the divine language of gods (Devbhasha) and was the most beautiful language available to the mankind and happened to be the grammar of the Bharatiya way of life.” Reminiscing of his childhood memories, Mr Surya commented that he could learn Sanskrit as his mother conducted ‘Aksharam’ the centre for children under the aegis of Sanskrit Bharati. He pointed out that he could meet a number of Sanskrit loving youths from different parts of India there, including a big contingent of students from Assam. He added, ” I am overjoyed to see this conclave of numerous youths gathered from various parts of Bharat, who were fluently conversant in the ancient language. This is the result of huge efforts put in by so many who had committed and dedicated their lives towards this mission.”
He also hoped to see a much bigger congregation of Sanskrit lovers and much effective role of Sanskrit when nation celebrates hundred years of independence in 2047.
In his speech, Tejasvi Surya also recalled the contribution by renowned linguist Eliezer Ben-Yehuda’s initiative, in revival of the Hebrew language and stressed the need for similar efforts to compile modern collections of words for the cause of Sanskrit and it’s propagation.
In his speech, revered Govind Giri Maharaj observed, ” Sanskrit is essential binding force for the Indian nation and the treasure of knowledge and wisdom available in Sanskrit was unmatched by any other language in the world.

The national president of Sanskrit Bharati, Professor Gopabandhu Mishra congratulated the students present for the Chhatra Sammelan and stressed that the language had everything to develop their capabilities.
In his presidential speech, Justice Sharad Bobde, Retired Chief Justice of India, stated the need to make Sanskrit the official language of governance (Rajbhasha) in India as it was the most suitable language for the same. He reiterated the stand taken by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, when the later and many others had proposed to make Sanskrit as the official language. Dr Ambedkar had even asked, if there was any fault in Sanskrit. Unfortunately, those who didn’t want that to happen, prevailed, said Justice Bobde.

The inaugural function began with Vaidik Mangalacharan and lighting of Deep. Introductory remarks were made by Sanskrit Bharati Akhil Bhartiya Mahamantri Satyanarayan Bhatt while the president of Swagat Samiti renowned industrialist Satyanarayan Nuwal gave a welcome address. Sanskrit Bharati Vidarbha Prant Mantri Bharatkumar Panda conducted the proceedings while Prant vice president Shrinivas Varnekar proposed a vote of thanks.
Prominent among those present were Sanskrit Bharati Prachar Pramukh Shirish Bhedasgaonkar, sangathan mantri Dinesh Kamat, Akhil Bhartiya sampark Pramukh Shrish Deopujari besides Leena Rastogi, Dr. Prof. Vijay Kumar Menon and many others.
