#SpyJyotiMalhotra was among 12 people who have been arrested from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh over the past two weeks on charges of espionage, with investigators pointing at an alleged Pakistan-linked spy network operating in north India.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and military intelligence officials are questioning Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra. Who showed no remorse to her deeds. She even defended a video wherein she spoke in favour of Pakistan.
An attempt is being made to draw a complete chain of events to see which countries she visited and in what sequence, the officer said. The central agencies and military intelligence officials are also probing her travel details, as she had reportedly visited Pakistan, China and some other countries.
Earlier, police said her known sources of income did not justify her foreign travels, adding that her financial transactions were also under scanner.

Investigators have also zeroed in on her personal diary, which contains at least 11 pages (eight in English and three in Hindi) on her visits to Pakistan. Sources said when she went on tours, she would inform her father that she was going to Delhi.#SpyJyotiMalhotra used to visit Pakistan and meet with army personnel there.
“After completing a 10-day journey in Pakistan, I have now returned to my own country. During this trip, I received a lot of love from the people of Pakistan… Who knows how long these distances across borders will last, but the grievances of hearts should be resolved. We all belong to the same Earth and the same soil,” one entry in her diary said.
Another entry in her diary mentions how Pakistan has opened access to gurdwaras and temples for Indians. “They are preserving temples, and now families that were separated during the 1947 Partition can reunite,” she wrote.
#Pahalgam video under scanner
#SpyJyotiMalhotra videos of visit to Kashmir in January are being examined thoroughly. Agencies are trying to uncover any links to the Pahalgam terror attack, which left 25 tourists and a local dead.
The YouTuber made videos not just in Pahalgam, but also in Gulmarg, Dal Lake, Ladakh, and Pangong Lake. The investigators are trying to find out if the videos unknowingly helped the terrorists or were made on someone’s orders.
Her videos near sensitive areas such as Pathankot, Nathu La Pass, and regions close to Arunachal Pradesh have also drawn the attention of intelligence agencies. Videos found in her cloud storage include BSF troop movements and radar locations.
According to sources, investigations have found that the ISI module strategically recruited individuals who have a huge social media influence. Apart from gathering intelligence, they were also allegedly tasked with promoting a positive image of Pakistan.

On Sunday (May 18, 2025), Hisar SP Shashank Kumar Sawan said that Pakistani intelligence operatives were developing Jyoti as an “asset”.
She was allegedly in touch with a Pakistani official posted in the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi during the four-day military conflict between India and Pakistan that followed the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, the SP said.
